Individual and contractor licenses

The division issues electrical, plumbing, boiler, elevator, and manufactured dwelling licenses for individuals and businesses. Each license has a specific set of requirements. All division-issued licenses are eligible for renewal 60 days prior to the expiration date. The expiration date can be found on your license.

License verification for out-of-state reciprocity

If you are using your Oregon license to reciprocate, use the following form to request verification of license status and testing scores from the Building Codes Division for your Oregon license. Processing time is currently 4 to 6 weeks.
