About the Engine Program

The OSFM Engine Program modernizes Oregon's firefighting capabilities by strategically deploying 76 cutting-edge enginges and water tenders across the state.

Driven by a 2021 gap analysis and developed in collaboration with the Oregon fire service, the program ensures a meticulous, inclusive approach to enhancing wildfire response. Types 3 and 6 engines and tactical tenders form the backbone of this initiative, funded through Senate Bill 762.
