  • Did you know that to reduce the risk of a fall, adults 65 and older need at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise.  This might be 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week or two days per week for a little over an hour! It’s important to engage in activities that strengthen muscles.
  • Did you know that you have less than two minutes to safely escape your home in the event of a fire? It's important to have a home escape plan to your abilities and to practice it at least once a year.
  • Did you know that having you vision and hearing checked annually can help reduce your chance of a fall? Annual health checkups are a great time to have routine tests and have your healthcare provider review your medications which can affect your balance and coordination.
  • Did you know that most home fires are started from cooking? It's important to "stand by your pan" and never walk away from food cooking on the stove top.
