Rulemaking Planning Calendar

  • June 2025: Proposed Rulemaking Notices:
    • Implement Senate Bill 1557, prohibiting licensees from denying services to individuals under 21 based on intellectual or developmental disability.
    • Adopt rule to implement Servicemembers Civil Relief Act for servicemembers and their spouses to practice.
    • Amendments to requirements for placement on the supervisor registry.
  • August 2025: 
    • Board to review public comments and potentially adopt rulemaking proposals from June (above).
    • Begin review and possible proposed rulemaking to revise LPC and LMFT educational requirements for unaccredited programs.
    • File proposed rulemaking notice for practice in Oregon.
  • October 2025: Board to review and potentially file proposed rulemakings to:
    • Revise LPC and LMFT educational requirements for unaccredited programs.
    • Implement House Bill 2016 (2025)
    • Amend the items required for licensure application 
  • December 2025: Board to review public comments and potentially adopt rulemaking proposals from October (above).
