Q: When
will the next funding cycle begin?
A: The next request for proposals is expected in Spring 2025.
Q: I
heard the data development project has undergone changes this year, is that
true?
A: Yes,
the 2024 Request for Proposals (RFP) will look different than previous
years. The RFP has been updated to
better align with Oregon’s Strategic Plan for Geospatial Data Management is
available on OGIC’s
Hub site.
Q: Does
my project need to be completed by the end of the biennium?
A: Projects are typically encouraged to stay within the biennium timeframe.
Q: What
is the indirect costs or F&A policy? Can these costs be included in our
budget?
A: Unfortunately,
no. Please read the full OGIC
policy for more information.
Q: In
previous years, the Framework Data Development Program has not funded the
development of standards and stewardship plans.
Has that changed?
A: Yes.
Due to the collaborative nature in developing standards and stewardship plan,
they have traditionally been excluded from funding. However, in 2024’s RFP, the work required to
lead the effort to organize work sessions and develop standards and stewardship
plans will
be eligible for funding.
Q:
Would a project that develops a data distribution tool be eligible for funding?
A: Yes,
if the project has a clear connection to Framework, it is eligible for funding.
