Wasson Creek Watershed and Forests Closure

The OR Department of State Lands has closed trails and forests in the Wasson Valley for public safety during boardwalk construction. From August 1, 2025, to January 30, 2026, all forest activities, including hunting and mushroom picking are prohibited.

Wasson forest work outreach

For the safety of our community, forests in the Wasson Valley will be closed to the public beginning April 1 and take about 1.5 months to complete. This will not affect the access to the Hinch Bridge paddle launch.

South End Trail Closure

As part of the Wasson Creek Restoration Project, a new accessible boardwalk is being constructed on the southern part of the South Slough Reserve. The South Trail System, including Fredrickson Marsh Loop, is closed Aug.11–22 and again Sept. 1-Oct. 1, 2025
